A Website Welcome
If you’re reading this, then you know my new website is up and running! Have you had a chance to look through it? There’s a little something for everyone, from wonderful wildlife and floral art, to tropical magic, to pet portraits guaranteed to put a grin on your face.
You might notice differences in style. The Colonial Williamsburg paintings have a more reserved air, for example, than many of the flowers I paint. But it’s just the way I look at things from time to time. Everyone experiences change in their lives and for me, it tends to affect my work in staccato phases, kind of like stones skipping across the water. I might decide to change my painting technique—say from brush to pallet knife—or I might change the look of my paintings; more impressionism, less realism. Fact is, change is part of my life as an artist, and I hope you enjoy the results.
What to Expect Blog-Wise
So let’s turn our attention to this blog. Many subjects will be discussed here, and not all of them about art, though that will always remain a major focus. We’ll talk about upcoming events, or the ones recently concluded. We’ll talk about specific paintings and the stories behind them. We’ll talk about the places I’ve visited in my work, the people I’ve met and the sometimes odd tales associated with all of that. You’ll find that one of my passions is helping animals, and in future blogs I’ll share my thoughts. You can look forward to some fascinating tidbits about art history, too (the stranger the better), and much more.
Put in Your Two Cents
Because I’m a people-person and fascinated by other peoples’ lives, interests and outlooks on life and art, I encourage your contribution to this blog. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts about this and that, and don’t be surprised if I respond, asking your permission to share your words with other readers.
And if you haven’t yet wandered through my wonderful new website, what are you waiting for?
Until next time,
